Pros
Most of the designers are friendly because they are all in the same boat as far as being at the mercy of how terribly this company is run. There's a few attractive people there as well, though most are married or planning to be: if nothing else a good bit of eye candy. Every now and then there will be donuts in the cramped breakroom.
Cons
The place is an absolute hole where management does not care in the slightest about designers and their personal lives. If you are fine with working over every night then work here, but if you value having a life outside of work then avoid this doomed company at all costs. Once calculated, you will stay over so much here that you'll end up making about minimum wage and no matter how hard you work, overtime is unavoidable. It really is like woking in a factory because as a designer your job is to churn out designs as quickly as possible without any consideration for well designed products, which is ironic considering how difficult it can be to get a call back if interviewed there. The tunover rate is so astronomical that in the short while I worked there over 25 people had quit, including myself. The management is always at odds with each other and the two clueless salesmen at the company have all the say and constantly change their minds which results in more work being stacked upon the lowly designers, not to mention how very little the salesmen understand about design in general. They are nothing more than yes men with little regard with how much work will be stacked onto the designers. They have a knack for making all their presentations due at once, which results in 57 hr work weeks. If you end up working here and experience normal work hours consider yourself lucky, you were brought in during a slow period and turbulent waters are only a few weeks away. You also don't even get Easter or Christmas eve off at the ol' Factory.
