Pros
the ability to work from home is great, and if your supervisor trusts you, you get some wiggle room to self-start and do what you need to do to help a customer. Sadly, not everyone gets such a supervisor.
Cons
internal morale has never been lower. Cigna advertises their profitability, but never have so few employees been asked to shoulder so much work. call volume is through the roof right now, because Cigna keeps attracting new accounts. the company is more than happy to blame its own employees for 'not handling the calls efficiently enough' instead of blaming its own greed and not hiring more employees. and as such, customer feedback is also at an all time low point. bonuses have been reworked, so that they are given out less consistenly. Promotions are advertised, and then the jobs are taken down without anyone being hired. most new hire classes see half of their ranks quit in within a year. and cooperation between departments is horrendous.
