Pros

Work from home, depending on the group

Cons

Managers are micromanagers, but have no time to manage employees. Middle managers do not know what they are doing but decide to take over employees' roles/functions. Why are you hiring if you are planning to do the work? Managers close their doors and communicate via chat or email. Managers expect you to read their minds. Executives are located in a different floors than their teams and skip meetings do not exist with their employees. Managers screem at you in their closed offices, act unprofessional, and provide negative feedback consistently. Too many and unnecessary consultants. Few do the work and other consultants do not do their work and no one is superivising.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
