Pros

Get to Meet new people in the Field

Cons

Management is a Good Old Boys Club- even though there are a few Women. It's privately owned so if you aren't friends with the core Group you are out in the cold no matter what they say.

Pros

Not gonna lie, the best part of working here was witnessing the drama ALL the time among everyone. Its like they all hated each other but forced themselves to be painfully cheery when they needed something from each other. Coworkers here are something else, but if you love Naruto and anime im sure you’ll fit right in with the rest of them, because thats all they want to talk about.

Cons

Managers and supervisors will lie to anyone, for anything, for any reason. They wont train properly. Wont answer questions professionally. The lead always answered -“i dunno” to near every question i ever asked them. And the worst part of this job for me was dealing with the individual that trained me on a manual cutter. The issue there was hygienic (you can imagine very bad B.O.) and this person was always unnervingly quiet all the time answering in 1 or 2 words to everything i asked in regards to my work. Management never helped me with that situation because well, the ‘don’t date your employees’ rule doesn’t exist at The BoxMaker of Lowell. Once you’ve worked here for a few days you’ll hear the “stories” from someone just like I DIDN’T want to. My advice: Don’t be surprised by how nonchalant they act when they tell you. I think they’ve just gotten used to turning a blind eye just like I kinda had to. Look, if you need a check every 2 weeks this is what I would consider a “stepping stone” job ok. If you get a job offer while working here, TAKE IT! If it’s just a few simple checks you’re wanting then, by all means, apply and prepare to be disappointed, overworked, and witness lots of drama. In my opinion, it’s just disorganized chaos at that plant being run by a manager that spends more time snap chatting with their female employees than actually being an actively engaged authoritative figure like a manager is supposed to be.
