AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Front of House Staff The Bowgie Inn Employee Review

I have never worked somewhere quite like it. I worked there as live in staff during summer 21 so covid was prominent in the UK. I lasted a matter of 3 weeks with 8 of us live in staff quitting at once due to how awful our experience was. Absolutely no covid management at the BOWGIE inn - after one scare we were told if we had to isolate by the app from contact or getting covid we would have to stay in a tent in the garden with no access to a shower, only the grotty toilet in the garage !! Luckily I did not stick around to find out if this would happen but weeks after I did I saw a post from a poor girl who had been made homeless in the same scenario by the BOWGIE inn. A friend of mine was fired after finding out about a close friend passing & asking to start later to process the news. I constantly felt like I was treading on eggshells at the Bowgie, I was sworn at by kitchen staff & talked about in an unprofessional manner by the manager to other staff. I felt watched all the time living there & felt like I had absolutely 0 privacy. I was once sworn and screamed at by the manager for watching a film with my friends in their room. Living there there is no kitchen access & staff meals are the appalling microwave meals served to customers, cooked in the kitchen which is literally just walls & walls of microwaves. These were so awful that I would never ask the customers how their meals were as I knew their response would be a complaint. Never ever work for the Bowgie, the high staff turn around & the locals opinions say it all !
