Pros

The employees - great people. I enjoyed working with everyone across the events, PR and creative departments.

Cons

It's a toxic work environment and they deny employee requests to take sick days. In the year I worked there, I took one sick day. Almost a year later around the same time, I had requested to take a sick day due to being sick. Not only did they refuse to let me take the sick day, they let me go 4 days later saying it was due to my performance. I had also brought them 2 new clients and I was told by the chief of staff that I would receive a commission after they paid their retainers. They both paid and I never received any commission. They are not professional and they don't treat their employees well. I would not recommend working here.

Pros

Lots of interesting clients, everyday seems to be a new day with each account needing different things. Keeps things intersting on a regular basis. It is really fast paced and there's a lot happening at once, so if you're really organized and want to experience that, it is a great place. Also everyone is super helpful which is great. You can always ask questions and get guidence.

Cons

Sometimes there's a lot going on at the same time which make things really busy but you can always get help when you need it.

Pros

You will be trauma bonded for life with your colleagues.

Cons

When you walk into the office, you can immediately feel the tension and hostility. Almost everyone that starts here goes through the same cycle: excitement during the first few days, followed by self-doubt and questioning your own ability. By your second week you will realize that you are not the problem, it is the company and the leadership that is the problem. Leadership creates an environment where employees are constantly made to feel dumb and incapable. Leadership does not care about a single employee and will always side of the client, even if you did nothing wrong. The way leadership speaks to people is inappropriate and demeaning. You will feel icky hearing stories about how people are treated/have been treated in the past and your name/work being associated with someone who is capable of treating people that way. Some of the events you plan/attend are exciting and at fun venues, but you can’t fully enjoy them as you are micromanaged and worried about how you will be scrutinized or the millions of other tasks that need to be done for your other clients. Employees are constantly thrown into additional clients without any consideration of your bandwidth or availability. The expectations are unrealistic, you will be reprimanded for not responding to emails within minutes, even if you are actively working an event. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before I accepting the role, but I urge you to read and believe them. She has not and will not change.
