Pros

My specific position was all over the place throughout multiple dealerships so I would say the ease of managing my own schedule for where I would be was great. It also taught me how to solve problems independently. With a boss that was usually not around, I learned to go around the dealerships and help who I could, learn from who I could, etc. It was great to really learn the in's and out's of so many components that make up a dealership chain. From Marketing to Servicing, I did everything I could to learn it all!

Cons

The title says it all. No matter what their position is in the company, they all end up being slimy car salesman. I bought a car from my dealership and they still managed to screw me over. They are totally untrustworthy, in that, they will tell you how amazing you, or whoever, is and then turn right back around and tell everyone else that you're a major piece of crap. They only care about how much money is coming into their pockets. It's the only place I've worked where management really doesn't care about employees, other than the fact that the employees were making them money. But in that sense, I worked upstairs as an admin and because our "office staff" didn't actually bring in revenue, we were less than dog crap to management. On top of it all, they began to sell off all the stores in order to make them some more quick money, but they decided to do it "covert" and I didn't find out my boss left with a dealership of ours that sold until I came to work and his office was cleaned out. Then my next boss in line, ignored me as an employee, and also "sneakily" left the dealership to go work with my previous boss, where I also had to come to work to find I had no managers anymore.
