Pros

The people are well intentioned, and seem to genuinely love God and want to serve people in our city.

Cons

Leadership made working at the Stone difficult; pay was poor, career growth options were very limited for most roles, and the church had grown so big that they took on far too much than they can actually handle. Additionally, they rely heavily on unpaid, full-time interns (as well as church volunteers) to do critical ministry work, leading to a lot of burnout, turnover, and under-resourced initiatives. It seems they're more focused on growth, and staying big, than excelling at a few things well.

Pros

Working at the Austin Stone was a wonderful experience. I grew so much in my residency, and had I found a permanent role that I felt confident pursuing, I would've loved to continue working there.

Cons

My least favorite part was working on Sundays. Although that can be a unique blessing of the job as well, depending on how you look at it.
