Pros

- if you are in the good books of your manager, are able to successfully brown-nose your way through, or are on a decent team run by decent managers, TAG can be a decent place to work

Cons

- this place is no different from your average consultancy without being anywhere close to the pay and structured promotion or exit options - expectations of performance are NOT made clear to new hires leading to lots of junior staff attrition - there is blatant favouritism and preferential treatment based on arbitrary factors, not merit or hard work. There are cases of nepotism as well. Overall, brown-nosing is essential to succeed at TAG, in fact it is a must - depending on the team you're on. - Unless you are a total geopolitics nerd, life at TAG will get boring quickly, Even then most of your work are typical consulting assignments with little to no analytical rigor or substance. - I personally had a terrible experience at TAG and would only advise working here if you are left without other options

Pros

The company is looking to grow aggressively, but has no members of its leadership team with experience running a business. This often leads to individuals being tasked with doing very public projects with minimal to no support from leadership -- who are happy to publicly humiliate you.

Cons

The Defense team currently has a 120% turnover rate, which is not considered an outlier within TAG. Most of your work will be polishing AI-driven work for companies, who are beginning to clearly notice that TAG does not have a differentiated product. For any job applicants, ask about how the "Head of Research" position or the Australian practice has gone. You'll learn a lot about how this company operates.
