Pros

Some good people, the work was challenging yet fun. Very generous pto

Cons

They have no idea what they are doing. Would run ten hour shifts for no reason then complain a year later they don have money for pay roll. They became black listed at some material and gas suppliers for failure to pay invoices. Owner doesn't care about running the company, he's been trying to sell his patent. Office culture was very negative to the fabrication side, we were viewed as lesser than the fresh from college engineers.

Pros

It's a very collaborative and challenging place to work but its a culture of mutual respect and pride in innovation. Thar earnestly follows the 3P's Principles: People, Planet and Profit.

Cons

Thar is subject to the ups and downs of large the capital equipment manufacturers and the natural product industry trends for its processing unit. The company grew from 22 employees in early 2018 to 125 2 years later then down to 70 for early 2022 but is looking to add several positions in Pittsburgh throughout 2022.
