Pros
The leave and related policies are okay. Pay seems acceptable. No real worries about layoffs.
Cons
Reduction in vacation carry-over has made leave policy worse and very average. Pay is not industry leading. Hard to get promoted and career path isn't really a thing; the job you have when you start is probably the same as when you leave. Tools and processes are all old and leftovers from before Textron purchase. Every project starts late per schedule and Project Engineering/Managers often lack ability to really lead projects. Buildings are all old and often poorly maintained. Poor integration with Textron Aviation's commercial group (Cessna). Textron Aviation & Textron Aviation Defense becoming very negative towards hybrid and remote work which limits ability to attract new talent which is causing us problems on technical projects (don't have right staff to work efforts properly) and feels focused on wrong aspects of the job (is it more important to be productive and like your job vs. be in the same building as everyone else?). Feels like working at an old company that can coast on existing products but will never lead again.
