Pros
Sometimes flexible schedule for students.
Cons
Management is terrible. During busy times, chairs are taken away so employees must stand for up to 9 hours straight at times. However this does not apply to the managers who sit in chairs. Dress code is vague, and also broken my management who dismiss any complaints. Throughout the semester full time employees are only given half-hour lunch breaks, however management gets full hour breaks. During busy times all lunch breaks are taken away and workers have to sneak bites of food in between helping costumers. Clear favoritism displayed, and there's little to no training for new staff members. Managers have employees fetch their lunches and pick up their personal groceries on the job. Senior management only cares about looking good to corporate, often opting to cut costs at the detriment of the workers. Little to no employee benefits. Owner rarely is seen at the store(s). The work/life balance is skewed. Workers are scheduled around classes which can be beneficial, but what happens is those workers are expected to work whenever class isn't in session, giving little time outside of work to complete tasks. Employees often have to use sick days to study or complete assignments.
