Pros

Started with a small book of business which was nice to get a check from the renewals.

Cons

It doesn't matter how many clients you bring in or how much P&C you sell, if you don't sell enough life insurance, you're threatened on the daily that you won't have a job next month. Morale in the work place was low because of the "good ol boy" mentality and If an agent doesn't have a connection to a bank or other business to benefit the agency, they don't matter. District meetings were said to be training and team building but it was really just an excuse to party, get drunk and do drugs. Upper management is aware and covers it up for those agents & agency managers who are top producers and they get rid of anyone who questions unethical behavior and illegal activity.
