Pros

Several of the students I worked with were delightful.

Cons

The scheduling process is quite challenging and inconvenient. You provide the team with your availability, and they assign students to your schedule. However, if you need to change or adjust your schedule, they make it very difficult. You are only paid for the time you spend with students. For example, if you are available from 1-5 PM on Monday afternoons and they schedule just one 30-minute session during that time, you are only paid for that half-hour. This means that despite clearing your schedule and potentially turning down other work opportunities for the remaining 3.5 hours, you only earn for 30 minutes of work. Financially, it doesn't make sense to work with this company.

Ability to see how the entire operations works. I found the work to be enjoyable. People seemed to like working there.

Cons

It’s a small company and limited room for moving up.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. As you may know, we did end up closing the New York office in May of 2020 due to Covid. Prior to closing, we were fully aware of the disconnect to what was happening in the New York office compared to what the owners were being told by New York management. We were in the process of correcting the issue and then Covid hit. Even though we are a small company we are attempting to provide more training and advancement for our staff. We wish you the very best. Testing Mom

Pros

Liked my co-workers; Liked my manager

Cons

Very volatile work environment; CEO has some anger issues i.e would often threaten everyone's job if he felt stressed around meeting with investors; very little job security; rarely felt valued even after consistently meeting/exceeding quotas/expectations; Company would change quota mid-way through the month if meeting goals as to not have to pay agreed upon bonuses; VERY disorganized overall

Hello, we are sorry you had a negative experience at Testing Mom. We are a fast paced office environment that has sales targets to meet on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Unfortunately, many people are unable to handle a fast pace environment and be held accountable for not making their goals that are clearly communicated to everyone on the team. Some people also have ineffective sales techniques, lack of self-motivation/self-awareness and are poor sales people in general. We wish you the very best in your new endeavors!
