Pros

As both a teacher and a director, I have seen countless test prep programs over the years—but none compare to Test Prep Gurus. Their approach goes far beyond teaching test-taking tricks. They instill confidence, resilience, and a genuine love for learning in their students. I’ve witnessed students who once dreaded standardized tests walk into the SAT or ACT with calm focus and walk out with scores that opened doors to colleges they never thought possible. What stands out most is how much the tutors care. They meet students where they are, adapt to individual needs, and provide consistent encouragement that makes all the difference. The growth my students have experienced through Test Prep Gurus has been life-changing—not just in scores, but in mindset and motivation. I wholeheartedly recommend them to any family or school looking to give their students the best chance at success.

Cons

High Demand: Tutors book up quickly, so scheduling flexibility can sometimes be limited. Challenging Workload: Students are pushed outside their comfort zone—great for growth, but requires commitment. Premium Investment: The program isn’t the cheapest option, but the results and personal attention justify the cost. Not One-Size-Fits-All: Works best for students who are ready to engage and put in consistent effort.

Pros

Test Prep Gurus isn’t just another test prep company. The entire team takes such a personalized approach to every single student. Everyone is warm and welcoming for both staff and students. The scheduling flexibility has also helped make it an excellent part-time opportunity for me. The students are super motivated and willing to learn. The offices are very nice and in great locations. I feel adequately compensated for my work, and it's heartening to be part of an organization where your efforts don't go unnoticed. Lastly, a shoutout to the efficient office staff who seamlessly handle scheduling and parent interactions. Thanks to them, I can channel all my energy into what I love most - being the best instructor for my students.

Cons

There's often a lot riding on students' test scores, which can lead to stress and high expectations from both students and parents. Even with flexible scheduling, there might be peak times (like right before ACT/SAT test dates) when you'll be busier than usual, and other times where there aren't as many students.
