Pros

Forestry projects are solid, there are many talented people on staff, it's fully remote.

Cons

There is high turnover. Many people leaving before they have another job. Management is erratic and the overall strategy is unclear. The benefits are not great, especially PTO.

We're sorry to hear our company wasn't the right fit for you, but we are truly thankful for your dedication to our mission and the work you contributed to Terraformation. We hope our paths will cross in the future so we can continue working toward our shared mission of helping to resolve climate change. For the sake of our mission, we must continue to refine our strategy and product-market fit, which often results in internal shifts and challenges common in startup life. These changes can be difficult, but our goal is to build a supportive and optimistic team that adapts together while always focusing on our climate mission. We also need to continuously learn from our past and present colleagues. If you're open to it, please get in touch with us at people@terraformation.com so we can learn from your experience.

Pros

Mission driven: This is a team that it trying to find a way to make a dent in improving the climate, despite the many obstacles. People: It's a pleasure to work with colleagues that are smart, hard working, and even though ups and downs in day to day work are fun to work with.

Cons

Solving climate change is HARD. Even with good intentions, figuring out how to plant trees the right way is hard. This company has a lot of great ideas, and continues to get closer with strategy iterations over time, but is not yet locked in on the right path to solve it all. Change happens often- for some this could be a pro, but for those that don't like change, they should be aware. The company continues to iterate in order to find the best path to success, and that can mean that the bar for success for roles can change too. If you are looking to lock into a role where you can show up every day for the next 10 years and do the exact same thing without change, this is very likely not the right team for you.
