Pros

About the best I can say is that, as a service manager, you will have at least some measure of autonomy.

Cons

Poor classroom training for lower level employees (such as technicians and sales people) Focus is on getting the company paid- not at all on solving a customer's problems Managers are expected to cut corners in terms of materials, as well as time their employees spend doing service calls Horrible quality of goods and services Highly questionable business ethics

Take home work truck and okay benefits.

we used to get a couple days off the end of the month to help recoup, but that's gone now Also Employees are pressured to submit sales leads or risk being scheduled for mandatory Saturday shifts. Stops are often completed early in the system to improve performance metrics, creating inaccurate reporting. This leaves fewer scheduled services for the following month, forcing employees to scramble to find additional stops just to meet their production goals.
