Pros

The Co-Workers are amazing people, free snacks, and free food from time to time. Pay is decent. Other building tenants are amazing, more so for putting up with the CEO.

Cons

Where to begin is an understatement. Firstly let's talk about the fact that the CEO is a Class A narcissist, who more over does not give one thought about his employees. He rings you in with buzzwords and promises of moving up and getting raises rather quickly, which is wholly untrue. He boasts that the benefits are the best, when they aren't. The work itself isn't extremely hard, but what makes it undeniably unbearable is the fact that he constantly micromanages EVERYTHING and treats you as if you are the incompetent one. He will call out employees in front of the entire office over something so minuscule that could've been resolved with a simple "Hey could you fix that". What's worse is when confronted about his behavior, he feigns any type of responsibility and blames it on something that has nothing to do with it at all. I am almost certain he does little work to actually advance the company and used his showmanship to acquire investors, which to them I say pull out while you can. He's a con artist. A very manipulative liar. He's so self absorbed that instead of taking the time to actually build his business, he'd rather drag employees out to "working" lunches so he can talk about himself the entire time. The idea of the company is actually decent, it just needs to be refined and ran by someone who actually knows and gives a crap about running a business. I've seen him literally bring people to their breaking points in that office and not bat an eye, but the moment you try to leave he is begging you to stay. Oh! He's also wildly inappropriate when he talks to employees and even other building tenants. For instance, he has made several racially charged comments that weren't flat out racist, but just teetering on it. He's talked about his employees appearances and suggested that they wanted to "take food home" because of their size (ironic considering he's a portly fellow with balance issues). He's extremely rude to people when they have questions and cares nothing more than to boost his own image and ego. He acts like he owns the building because his company was the first to rent and constantly wants to change things, but the building is owned by the city. The entitlement he shows around there is daunting. Truly, a disgusting person. His inability to be a good leader has prevented his company from advancing forward, and resulted in not one, but TWO layoffs. While he lives lavishly in his condo by the strip, people are scraping by. He keeps his office silent and any bit of noise, he gets in a huff and complains. Somebody coughing? Send them home.... as he continues to cough and hack the entire day. Beyond his work behavior, himself as a human being is gross as well. He took a bottle of creamer from the office refrigerator and DRANK OUT OF THE BOTTLE and put it back in the fridge, unmarked. Disgusting. When you do go out to "work" lunches with him, he will make you modify your order because he is "extremely allergic" to garlic and onion, which seems like another lie as well. He treats everyone as if they are idiots and know nothing, including the other building tenants. He has no respect for anyone or anyone's time as he constantly bombards into their personal time and will message you in the middle of the night ON YOUR OFF DAY to ask a stupid question. Oh, and don't even think about pointing out a mistake of his otherwise you will be hit with a very sassy message about how "he has a company to run and doesn't have time to remember everything". He has also lied to other companies about the company and where we are at with it to try and solidify partnerships/sponsorship/customers. He has no idea what actually goes on with the technical side and doesn't have any type of price model for his business (if he ever does get customers). Instead, he rather sit on the phone, wasting these businesses' time by boasting about the space shuttle he partially owns, and all the "cool" famous people he knows and what companies he wants to be like. If there was a way to boot him out as a CEO, I urge it. Again, the idea itself can be useful, just not with the current CEO. Avoid this place. Don't fall for it. It's a trap.

Pros

I really learned a lot, they mentored me. The other data searchers and engineering people were good to work with. I worked from home and they never bothered me about it

Cons

They ran low on cash when COVID hit, so got laid off. Perhaps I will get hired again when things turn better

Rest assured, things are definitely starting to open up. By all means get vaccinated when you're able to, and keep watching for new job postings as we get back on our feet.

Pros

They offer a better than average salary and benefits package and the office is in a good location downtown. Coworkers were great while they lasted.

Cons

The CEO, David Knight is a total "knightmare" who will jump down your throat at a moments notice often for things that are his fault or honest mistakes. He is a relentless micromanager, who often holds back necessary information. Everyone in the office is constantly walking on eggshells because at any moment he could start yelling at you or a coworker like they are a five-year-old for something that isn't even their fault. You can expect someone to be in tears or close to it at least once a day. They also expect you to be on call 24/7 through Slack and will not hesitate to drop a project on you, without all the necessary information late at night and expect it to be completed perfectly the following morning. They will lure you in with stock options and a good salary but believe me it's not worth it. Employees often quit or are fired without warning after a month or two.
