Pros

Scheduling flexibility for part time work.

Cons

Unless you enjoy missing paychecks, working for a lower pay scale than you were promised; as well as wasting gas and sitting in traffic, for several hours, round trip, only to be told to go home. Do not waste your time working for this company. These people don't care about you, your personal, or your traveling expenses. You're just a convenient and disposable body. You will constantly be turned down for bartending gigs no matter how many good reviews you accumulate from clients. Of those gigs that you receive, more than likely, you will be demoted to bar back, serving staff, or be sent home because there are too many servers. If you choose to work as a server, as previously stated by other reviewers, you will be dealing with unprofessionalism the entire day. From not knowing what your role is, not knowing who your captain or leader is, agreeing to work at a lower pay scale than a bartender, to having your pay delayed by one or two days. A brief history of my experiences working with this company April 29th, 2023: Hired as a bartender. Demoted to bar back because they overstaffed bartenders and sent some people home. May 6th, 2023: The company staffed too many bartenders. The host of the event created a station for me to work on. Otherwise, I would have been sent home. My buddy was also hired as a bartender and sent home that day. He drove all the way from Santa Monica to LAX in the thick of rush hour traffic on the 405. May 21st, 2023: Hired as a bartender for private MGM event. At the site, we (a team of three) are told that we'll actually be unloading and setting up equipment for other bartenders for the next day. Essentially, we got hired as cheap labor because we're not considered teamsters. May 27th, 2023: Reluctantly accepted work as a server. When I arrived, there are too many servers. Chose to stay, but, several people went home. As hard as things may be. Have some self respect and don't sacrifice your dignity at the service of this company.

Pros

Most of the employees are young and energetic. The office space is modern and quite social, with no walls between different levels on seniority.

Cons

The company that acquired Tend has no intention of scaling it, and actively interferes with their growth. It was one of the only profitable branches, and revenue waasn't reinvested in employees or even Tend, just the parent company. There is no room for upward mobility, as the strategy is to maintain the current output with less people. I would not recommend working here unless it is temporary, as good work is not rewarded and salaries are low.
