Pros
If you like working at startups, this company is pretty much it! Flat hierarchy, transparency, autonomy, moves fast, growth opportunities, open communication. Amazing work culture with no micromanagement. Everyone in the team is extremely talented and there is so much to learn every day. Code quality is high, because code reviews happen regularly to enforce good code quality. Autonomy is high and you are usually given freedom to implement things on your own, which in turns promotes a sense of ownership in your code. Good salary, pretty much market rate or above market rate. This can be rare in smaller companies, but not this one. Team is relatively young and energetic and pretty fun to be around! Team bonding activities and team lunches happen frequently and we even got to go overseas on a company trip to have a vacation together! Overall, an amazing company to work in.
Cons
Nothing really. If I have to write something, one thing I can think of is there will be the occasional late night meetings due to timezone differences. We are a distributed team with offices around the world, so this is something that cannot be avoided. These meetings usually start at 10 or 11pm and end by 12am. Thankfully, these are few and far between and honestly, it is not that big of a deal.
