Pros

People are great to work with, the ones that are left are very knowledgeable and pleasant 4 1/2 day work week (for now)

Cons

Upper management out of touch, does not value older employees. Most of the brain trust has left or is poised to leave in the next year or so with no one to replace them company consolidating 3 buildings into one, poised to be sold in the next few years Using the insurance there is a death sentence as their gauge for employee value and layoff targets depends on how much you use.

Telephonics Response
6y
Telephonics respects your decision to express an opinion through this vehicle, but comments concerning poor workmanship, targeting specific groups of individuals and lacking technical knowledge cannot go unanswered. As a federal contractor our products and processes are under constant vigilance by a number of federal regulatory agencies. We welcome that scrutiny and work in tandem with those agencies to ensure that our products continue to exceed the high standards our customers expect from Telephonics. We are an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and value each of our employees not only for their technical and professional expertise, but also their diversity. It seems your resignation didn’t elicit the response from us that you desired. We hope with time and distance, you will look back on your years with Telephonics in a more favorable light.

Pros

TTM bonus plan is very good.

Cons

Middle manager calls for multiple meetings per week with no hard stop. These are unproductive. Manager also does not give autonomy and will question your work constantly. Again this is unproductive. Manager also calls you late at night (10pm). Work from home policy is not universal. This should be standardized without showing favoritism. Vacation and sick time are separate and less than most companies.
