A real pioneer in smart-cities / IoT technology that's been around for longer than the buzz words. Opportunities to work and a very wide range of technologies from Web based UIs, through backend large-scale databases, communications middle-ware to low level embedded radio end points.
Cons
Having been the market leader for several years, they've lost their way in recent years. Management does not appear to have a clear vision of what they want to achieve and as such they are now very much playing catch-up in a much larger market. There had been a long standing reliance on the goodwill of the staff in providing input above and beyond contractual obligations. With little thanks in return. They've struggled with the transition from small highly successful startup to larger company. In recent times management has failed on several occasions to listen to staff concerns, and when they have made attempts to rectify this it felt more like it was done merely for show with no real intent to change things.
