Pros

Excellent technology Great application team in India Before Danaher, lot of independence was provided to individuals

Cons

Poor senior management Non existant HR Bad vertical managers in many verticals including sales, finance etc. Too much focus on sales targets, month wise and at the end week wise, just imagine --they sell capital products. Lots of reporting with Danaher, but without a purpose -- we never understood the benefit from it. Extremely low employee morale. ( out of a strength of about 50 in 2007 when Danaher acquired, now i guess their are hardly 6/7 remaining from that team which achieved the best ever sales in India till date. This had many achievements where we penetrated a lot of Agilent accounts, but now i recently visited one of this MNCs in design and the design head informed me that though Tek still has good products, they as a company have decided to avoid Tektronix as the company is not stable, stalwarts in Tek on whom this customer relied have all left and the new guys do not provide any support technically, only ask for orders.

Pros

Culture Team Collaboration Most Benefits

Cons

Could use more investments in the workplace (outdated with deferred maintenance). Recent history of under-investing in New Products. This is changing, but well behind competitors. Extreme expense management for a consistent amount of time leads to a noticeable drop in innovation and innovative spirit.
