Pros

Excellent entry level positions for those interested in breaking into the IT field. Exposure to different systems and clients fosters intellectual versatility. Helpful peers (particularly field engineers and project management). Owners/senior management cares for employees and respects their concerns, and does attempt to accommodate them in accordance with company resources.

Cons

1 year of employment needed before generating any PTO and investing in company 401k, which is perhaps too rigid. Sometimes difficult to coordinate with overseas remote team. While company encourages skills development, there are few resources they offer to help develop talent. Skills development will come mostly through the variety of work from different clients with different IT needs.

Pros

I started Tekorder when it was small and I was very new in the field. I've watched Tekorder grow throughout the years and I've always thought what I love most about this company would change as we grew. Contrary to that belief it hasn't. The core of Tekorders success and why I enjoy working for them falls mostly on one thing. Management. Easy to approach and talk to, open to new ideas and even criticisms, super down to earth. and they have that "I've been in your shoes and I know what you're going through mentality." If an issue arises they always have our back. They are truly a delight to work for. Pay is competitive, benefits are great, work life balance is top notch. They respect you and they know life happens. Tekorder is an MSP so if you want to learn, this is where you want to be. Sometimes that can be daunting but the TEAM is always there to help. You are never alone.

Cons

Tekorder is an MSP (Managed Service Provider)and with that comes some cons. If you like routine, doing the same thing day in and day out, and not really learning or getting exposed to new things then an MSP is not for you. Things can get hectic sometimes and scenery changes constantly but its the name of the game.
