Cons
Teddy Fresh is a company that had a lot of potential. I used to look forward to coming to work every day but the culture has shifted dramatically in the past 6 months to become a place of toxicity. The company leaders love to hire and fire. There is no job security here. It has led to a culture of passing the blame so that everyone can try to save themselves. If you start at the bottom you are the most susceptible to this. I have seen at least 15 people get fired since I started working and with a company of less than 50 people, that is quite a lot. They make it clear that you are dispensable. The culture is also very sink or swim. Do not expect to receive any job training or formal orientation here. If you cannot perform to their unreasonable standards they will fire you within days or weeks of you starting. The company is so unorganized that what they ask their employees to do is almost impossible a lot of the time. The owners have no background in the fashion industry and have even burned bridges with their vendors due to their fickleness and lack of knowledge. In terms of the product, the clothing is largely copies of other brands and is more and more unoriginal with each delivery. The owner and head design will knowingly copy another company's design, blame it on a lower level designer when they get caught and fire that person. If you are wanting to join this company to get closer to the owners, don't bother! They never come into the office or interact with anyone other than upper management. You can try as hard as you can to bring your experience to the table and keep the company afloat but you will be ignored and probably get fired just for speaking up.
