Pros

- Cooperative and hospitable teammates and colleagues. Never felt any politics (personally). - Gaining development exposure from making various types of casual games throughout the career - Provides adequate timeframe for pre-production research and development - Minimal crunch/overtime (if any, only near the end of development) - Game designer mostly had authority on an upcoming game’s genre and gameplay - Free meals (breakfast and lunch) - Pantry refills averagely at least once a month - Bottlenecks caused by other department(s) rarely happens. It was pretty streamlined.

Cons

- Less likely to splurge on development tools (hardware/software), but not entirely absent. - Management is not fond of remote/work-from-home approach. - Non-flexible work hours (can’t choose between 8-5, 9-6, or 10-7. Just 9-6), not a big con tho. - Has a casual game target audience. Not really a con unless you are keen on developing more hardcore or competitive games.
