      Pros

      At TFS I know everything we do has a purpose: installing high quality solar safely and with integrity. At TFS I know the people I work with care about each other and the work we do together. We succeed by working together, because the work we do requires cooperation. Our success has the potential to help our community and our world, but it also means I can rely on TFS to be there for the long term so I can continue doing the work I like doing.

      Cons

      There isn't really a corporate ladder to climb at TFS, which for some might feel like a con. It's a small company, so if you look for promotions and changes in job titles there is some, but not a lot of that.

      Pros

      Amazing views, fresh air, lots of exercise, fantastic coworkers, room for growth, ability to sleep soundly at night secure in the knowledge that when my kids ask me what I did to fix climate change I can reply "everything I could".

      Cons

      Summers are hot and the work can be quite physically demanding.

      Pros

      At TFS we work to make the world better by helping our community find alternate ways to power their homes and have a lighter footprint on this planet. We also show that it is feasible to have an alternative to the standard capitalist society where profits come before everything else. We work hard, are fairly rewarded, and are able to build on a strong community of support.

      Cons

      Installation work is hard during the summer
