Opportunity to live and work abroad short-term; only have to commit to working 12 hours/week; generous vacation time during contract; health insurance offered through program; great opportunity to improve your french skills if you commit to it; don't need teaching experience to be successful

Do not get to pick your region/city placement (very little transparency in regards to the location selection process); the monthly is not livable wage - you'll need to come prepared with a few thousand dollars in savings if you want to comfortable live and travel during your vacations; you're not permitted to have a formal second job; sometimes your classes can be scheduled in a way that forces you to remain on-site even though you are not being paid; not guaranteed at least one day off per week even though you're only working 12 hours per week; challenging position if you are placed in a rural town with not a lot to do/people to meet/access to public transport; some assistants get lucky and have housing provided to them by the schools whereas others do not have any support
