Pros

6 weeks annual leave (but good luck getting time off approved) Genuinely kind people in some departments Close to Central Station

Cons

Where to begin? What a toxic, terrible environment. Extremely high turn over rate because people get hired, see how quickly the job burns them out, are expected to perform to unrealistic KPIs, and are offered no support from upper management. Management in general is a joke. Lots of "people leaders" who don't know how to lead people, besides yelling and causing people to cry. No career growth. Massively underpaid for the position I am working in, and for most others. Management is fighting to remove the few benefits the job does offer (like a generous sick leave policy), and has reneged on pay increse negotiations. The CEO is old and out of touch, still wants to run the business as it was in 1954. Forced office days and no flexibility in when you can work from home. People regularly cry in the office due to stress or their manager. There's so much wrong with this company.

Pros

I started working with Teachers Health in a part-time role at Head Office. I'm now full-time. Since I started I've worked hard, developed skills and been rewarded with three promotions over the years. They've supported my parental leave (paid!) and flexible work when I needed it. I get to do work that is interesting and supports our members. I work alongside a lot of smart, talented, generally awesome and hardworking people. People always offer to help out too if I need it and I'm happy to help others. The head office site has just been renovated I think it's fantastic to work in with great meeting spaces and spaces to encourage working together. It's located also close to central station so I find getting to work on public transport is easy. I find most people in the company open to change and constantly improving the way things are done. My boss is smart, skilled, supportive and listens to my ideas. I honestly think working here was one of the best decisions I've made.

Cons

There aren't big budgets like many other companies, but the company is a not for profit and we focus on members so that makes sense. It does get busy - really busy. Especially at certain times of the year.

Pros

I worked in the Marketing department for THF for under 2 years and it was a positive experience. You have the run of the mill standard pro’s e.g additional days annual leave, solid parental leave policy and flexible working arrangements, the real positive aspects of THF was the exposure to exceptional senior leaders. Wendy Taylor (CMO) leads the department with integrity and genuine empathy and care for both staff and Members of the fund. The broader marketing management team is switched on, nimble and creative. If you get a chance to work at THF, take it. The fund does run as honestly, they do strive to deliver to their value proposition and across all departments i came across, they seemed to genuinely care about the members which as they mention in all their collateral is at the heart of what they do. They strive to be honest and humble THF wide.

Cons

- Female representation at an executive level appeared unbalanced. - consultancies led projects that seemed hit and miss and often cookie cutter.
