Pros

Cons

High Burnout Potential Due to Overwhelming Workload and Misaligned Expectations. My time at Tek Experts was characterized by a consistently high workload that often felt unsustainable. Expectations placed on support engineers were frequently unreasonable, particularly concerning services that even Microsoft doesn't directly support for customers. This issue was compounded by a flawed performance metric system. Engineers are penalized for negative customer feedback, even when that feedback stems from the inability to provide support for non-Microsoft supported products. For example, if a customer requests assistance with an unsupported service and an engineer accurately informs them of this limitation, a resulting 1-star rating from the customer (due to the lack of support for something Microsoft doesn't offer) would be held against the engineer in their performance review. This practice is deeply unfair and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the support boundaries set by Microsoft.

Pros

The paychecks don't bounce, at least as far as I experienced. You'll never ever have time to be bored, if you could call it that.

Cons

Completely toxic work environment, through and through. Ignores requests for Disability accomodations, uses the information gleaned from that process to institute write-ups. PIPs are their favorite tool ever, beside death from overwork.
