Sometimes there are no work assignments.

The staff are nice and really want you to get a position; they'll help you to that end. They also love to help out others in need of work and will happily accept referrals for your friends if they've enjoyed working with you.

The only significant downside is the downside that comes with any temp agency, which is that you'll be underpaid until the company they've connected you with decides to take you on full time.
