Pros

I’m not that great at writing reviews but heck, here we go. Personally, this is one of those jobs that’s really awesome for the right person but pretty terrible for the wrong person. You have to love what you do. If you’re here to pick up digital marketing skills like I am, you’re going to love every minute of it. If you’re just here for the paycheck than your experience will likely be considerably worse. I recommend you come with the right mindset.

Cons

My experience has been five stars with no cons.

Pros

I had the good fortune to fall into the favor of my manager. The moment he took me under his wing everything changed for the better. He regularly gives me advice on how to tackle projects and is often lenient regarding some of the looser deadlines. Admittedly, I have no clue where’d I be if he didn’t look out for me all the time.

Cons

The workload is pretty heavy.

Pros

During my time at Target Marketing Digital, I was presented with innumerable opportunities to work directly with high profile clients, fulfill responsibilities across all levels of the agency and share my creative ideas and have them supported by leadership and team. There is an incredible culture of ongoing learning and development. A key benefit was agency funded learning opportunities. We have the ability to attend workshops, events and other learning experiences to further professional growth and expertise. There was a deep care from leadership to grow expertise with each person—they truly cared.

Cons

Target Marketing Digital is a very in-demand agency. An incredible amount of interest in working with this organization. Often there was an intensity in balancing client load, which isn't surprising for a successful agency in NYC. My take is that leadership did their best to support team members while balancing the realities of growing and managing a business. I'm sure it was tough to do all of this. However, the quality of work never suffered, even though during busy times it was stressful to meet deadlines.
