Pros

-Access to various/ latest treatment modalities for PT, OT and ST -6 hours of PTO bi-weekly -Friendly work atmosphere

Cons

- micromanaged - Management did not demonstrate a "team" attitude, rarely treated pt's, took off ALL holidays -Very few opportunities for advancement -Lack of interest in employment development -Excessive amount of paperwork, monthly inservice logs, required to acquire CNA's signatures, writing treatment time for each pt treated everyday is unnecessary and tedious -Preparation for "five star" survey requires documentation reviews/edits that exceed praticality and reality -No incentive for receiving "five stars" only management receives bonus when therapists are the ones doing all the work. -Higher management, not personable, it is as if they have no interest in the therapists. Visited facility monthly, never ate lunch with therapists, only went to lunch with DOR and ADOR, never socialized, rarely greeted us. -Insurance rates are higher than average -No communication from management about updates with the company, changes, growth, culture etc. -NO paid holidays

Our therapy departments go through rigorous and detailed semi-annual internal audits emphasizing quality patient care and service delivery. Although tedious, compliance with rules and regulations is paramount to us. We applaud all our therapy teams that strive to achieve the coveted "Five Star Therapy Award."

Pros

Decent caseload available. Okay facilities.

Cons

They try to low ball you with the pay, this facility has the worst director of rehab and regional director. You have to work 40 hrs or use your PTO to meet your 40 hrs, even if the census is low. Pretty unethical company, at least at this facility. Very little employee appreciation. I have read some reviews on the other sites, such as indeed, and they are not true. They seem to have been written around the time that certain employees quit at this particular facility, but the funny thing is, I know these therapist personally and they hated working for this company, that's the reason they quit. So they would never give this company 4 or 5 stars. I think people that work in upper management wrote those reviews.

I apologize for the delay in responding to this review from 2014. Many positive changes have occurred since this original post. Management and staff training have been completely overhauled. We have implemented new online and one on one education and training programs that we hope will prepare our managers and therapists for their roles. The effectiveness of our training programs depends on the ongoing input from our staff. We currently have a task force in place to help us continue to meet our ongoing training needs. If anyone has specific ideas to help us improve our systems, you can submit those ideas to Jackie Burke, Director of Recruitment and Development at: jburke@tarahc.com.
