Pros

Community and mission driven. the Villa Rica campus should get a 5/5 for leadership!

Cons

Senior nursing leadership at the Carrollton campus struggles with how to lead change--deep politics and personal issues prohibit the right thing from getting done. Front line staff and management are great and work hard but without effective leadership there is only so much they can do.

Pros

- 1:5 nursing ratio - patients are not criticlly ill or in life-threatening situations - overtime pay when I worked was great! We got extra $50/hr or $40/hr for overtime shift. A lot of opportunities to pick up shifts since we were short staffed a lot - New grad nurses get started off on a decent pay of $35/ht

Cons

- I experienced "nurses eating their young," racist patient and nurses, and micro aggressions at work - Nursing leadership is not the best - It is difficult to get a job at Tanner - We were always short-staffed - It is not a teaching hospital, so there are limited opportunities for learning - It is a small facility, so you do not get to see a lot or do a lot as a nurse - You get used to the patient population and know what to expect if you have worked on the same unit for 1-2 years - Far commute to work if you live in the city
