Pros

One of the standout aspects of the company is its flexibility. There’s a genuine understanding that people have lives outside of work, and management is supportive when it comes to flexible hours or accommodating personal commitments. That trust makes a big difference. They encourage personal development and growth. The office itself is beautiful and one of the nicest I’ve worked in. It’s located right in the centre of town, but tucked away next to a stunning church, which gives it a calm and quiet atmosphere. You get the best of both worlds and everything is easily accessible within a short walk, but the immediate surroundings feel peaceful and a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It’s a pleasant experience going into the office to collaborate with the team. The space, the atmosphere, and the people all make it feel worthwhile rather than something you have to do, which says a lot. On top of that, there is a bar area that’s often used for team socials and informal catch ups. These events are enjoyable, helping people connect across teams and build relationships beyond just work. The holiday allowance is great with 25 days plus your birthday off and they close for Christmas which takes allowance to 30 days plus bank holidays. That is a great perk. Management, in my experience, has been approachable and open to feedback. It’s easy to have a conversation, offload, raise ideas, or ask for support without feeling apprehensive.

Cons

In terms of improvements, benefits like the pension scheme and healthcare could be strengthened to help with long term retention but I am sure they would look at these areas to improve when budgets allow. Like any workplace, there’s always room for improvement, but overall this is a supportive environment with a strong culture, friendly people that make it an enjoyable place to work.
