Pros

The focus is customer first, customer satisfaction and flawless execution. Superior technology that scales like nothing I've ever seen before. This is the first company where everyone works as hard as I work. Extremely innovative. Extremely focused on the mission: deliver a superior product that solves customer problems. When I interviewed at Tanium, my first face to face interview was with Orion Hindawi. In just 5 minutes of conversation I knew I wanted to work at Tanium. If they had given me a written offer during my 1st visit I would have accepted immediately. I don't need to worry about being politically correct. I appreciate that I can speak my mind and I am heard. Orion, and all the other executives, have an open door policy. It is encouraged to speak up if we see something wrong. When something is wrong its quickly corrected. I wish more companies acted this way. Lastly, this is the best group of engineers I've come across in a long time.

Cons

Don't try hide in the shadows if you want to work here. Bluntly, you need to be willing to work hard every day. Don't come here expecting a free ride. It won't work out for you.

Pros

I've worked for Tanium over 5 years and have seen a lot of change. The pace is fast and the teams are small so if you want autonomy and ownership this is a great place to work.

Cons

They're constantly reorging, it would be nice if the exec team could make up their mind on how they want the org structured and stick to it. They tend to do whatever other "hot" companies at the time are doing. The founder still plays a massive role and the c-suite just seem like his puppets. No one wants to be in office and ppl constantly complain but no one in leadership listens. It used to feel like they cared about what the employees say, but now everyone seems beaten down and just does the work so they're not laid off. Pay is also low compared to competitors. You have a decent annual salary but no bonus and no IPO in sight. You'll get RSUs but the price keeps going down with a promise to go back up. I've only seen it go down in my experience so just be mindful that whatever your base salary is (unless you're in sales) is going to be your total earnings.
