Pros
• Incredible people working hard for the good of the customer • Supportive direct management. They genuinely care, but upper management stop any progress being made
Cons
• An "analyst" job is just doing vlookups and sending standard reports to clients • UK office is in a bad location, on a business park in the middle of nowhere. No prospect of social activities after work because everything is so far away and everyone just drives anyway • lots of uncertainty about the future. Since Marlin bought Tangoe, everyone panics when meetings are called in case they're told they're being made redundant • Marlin's cost cutting is causing internal strain, which makes everyone demotivated. It doesn't feel like they care about anything but profit. • Lots of customers have been let down so many times, they have lost all trust, which makes the relationships fraught. They are constantly waiting for mistakes which makes it a very combative environment. • Pay freezes. Shows a lack of care for the current employees. • No career prospects. If you don't want to be a manager there's no where to go. The career paths are very single stream too.
