Pros

You’ll move up the ladder fairly quickly

Cons

Most toxic place I have ever worked in my life. There’s no HR so if you have a problem with management, there’s no one to talk to. If you do complain about something, instead of dealing with the issue, they’ll just transfer you to a different property. The turn over is insane, but because of that, you’ll move up pretty quickly because everyone who is above you will probably quit within a year. You don’t get promoted based on your experience or work ethic. You literally will only get promoted based on the length of time you’ve been with the company and if your manager likes you enough to recommend you for the open position. So even if you work harder than your coworkers, if you were hired last, you are promoted last. Most managers believe since they are managers they don’t have to do any work to help you and if you make a mistake you’ll get screamed at. All properties are understaffed because no one wants to work there. If you are an assistant or property manager, you are expected to be available 24/7 and if you request time off you are still expected to have your phone or laptop with you at all times. The way they handled covid was a joke and didn’t even offer the employees who worked through it any bonuses or hazard pay. The owners don’t care about the employees or their residents. Roof leaks, rat infestations, sewage problems are all common but instead of spending the money to fix them, they just move the residents to a new apartment. You’re constantly asked for new ideas to bring in new residents and how to retain the current ones but they shoot down all ideas people have. If you quit or get fired and you live onsite they give you 24 hours to get out, which is why some people stay with the company even though they hate it, they don’t want to lose their home. Don’t work here and if you do, definitely don’t move on-site. The apartments are way overpriced for what they offer and you’ll be miserable the whole time.

Pros

100% medical benefits paid, they care about your education and pay for monthly Udemy courses, they give you all the tools you need to be successful and treat you like you’re important.

Cons

The only downside is there’s not a lot of flexibility for schedules.

Pros

Compensation is decent. Coworkers were all very helpful and nice. Good way to get your foot in the door when transitioning to a new position.

Cons

Manager retaliates by firing employees as soon as they suspect you catching on to the illegal, schematics this company practices for financial gains, to ensure that employee won’t raise concerns. They do not follow fair housing laws, they discriminate and deny certain applicants based on certain demographics when they otherwise qualify. The turnover rate for both employees and tenants is a perfect example of how this company operates. Several staff members (coworkers) mentioned how burnt out they were and overwhelmed they were due to the unfair amount of work they are expected to complete every day, yet management refuses to hire additional help. All they care about is money.
