Pros

Leadership is no nonsense and doesn't buy into the 'growth at all costs' mantra that plagues many other tech companies at our stage. The product is great and is ever evolving. No one is above pitching in to help out on projects or when issues arise. Genuinely great team. True belief in work/life balance exemplified by leadership.

Cons

The product is quite technical. We are globally dispersed to trying to coordinate between timezones for answers or internal meetings can be tough.

Pros

There are some really decent and smart people at the company.

Cons

The CEO and CRO are two peas in a pod. They take credit when things are going well and point fingers when things are going poorly. I witnessed many instances where the CEO publicly berated employees. The CEO’s ego is massive. He is clearly a reason for the slower than expected growth. The CRO has been highly unqualified for the role since he began. He has no clue how to run a true enterprise sales process. The entire sales org has turned over multiple times from departures and layoffs. There is also a constant fear of being fired. He has fired multiple people who had overall great attainment but a single poor quarter. For anybody who has done true enterprise sales, you are typically working on a handful of deals that could make your year which means quarter quotas will be missed at times. But not at Talon.one. Don’t miss quota at all or you may be next on the hot seat.
