Pros

School schedule leads to a nice work-life balance

Cons

The site won't let me tell you everything. However, this company is highly unethical. When I came on I pointed out all of the various violations, both on the child nutrition side and the local health department. This fell on deaf ears. How do you run a school account with two employees and no equipment? The location I worked at was reported and the findings were confirmed. Did the company course correct? No, they fired the whistleblower then cut tail on the contract leaving the school they cheated to fend for themselves. The corporate chef team is highly incompetent. It's a good old boys club that takes trips for debauchery that you have to sign an NDA to attend. Read the reviews, the negative ones tell you a lot. Most of the positives are paid for I promise you.

Thank you for taking the time to write in, but we have not terminated anyone from any accounts that are closed, most specifically in the role of Chef Manager. I think you have the wrong company. If you feel the need to discuss this, please feel free to email me at p.stanko@taher.com.

Pros

Travel was interesting, met lots of interesting folks. Chef council was constantly working on recipes that made for interesting menu additions. Work for most locations was Monday-Friday.

Cons

Their pay is not competitive whatsoever, middle management often fails to communicate properly with ground management and staff often leading to poor worker morale and low-quality output. I worked for the B&I side of the company, which tended to struggle with overselling their capabilities to clients, which in turn lead to poor working conditions.
