Pros

The food at Tacombi is always fresh and consistent.

Cons

I was selected for an interview via video call. On the day of the interview I sat and waited for 15 min while no one else was online. I reached out to the talent specialist to inquire if the interview was indeed still on and if the position was active - I got no response. I decided to check back in case the interviewer was running late, however, no one showed up. Very disappointing experience overall. It’s understandable if the position was filled but it’s unethical to ghost active candidates that are still within your talent pool. If the candidate experience is any indication of company culture (it is), I would steer clear of Tacombi.

Pros

The creative director provides insightful, constructive guidance, making every project a valuable learning experience. The Tacombi graphic universe is vibrant, rich in cultural elements, and an absolute joy to work with.

Cons

The creative requests are not steady every week so you can't rely on them financially

Pros

the staff at the store level were great to work with. Salary for Managing Partner role is strong on paper. The food is decent, and the brand concept is appealing.

Cons

The hiring process is extremely drawn out (5+ interviews). Training in NYC is long and detailed, but unreasonably strict. Something as simple as taking bathroom breaks or being uncomfortable in folding chairs for 8+ hours is treated as suspicious behavior. During tortilla factory training, after a full day of labor, you’re given cold food with no drinks and forced into more meetings instead of being treated with basic respect. Anything you say during training or meetings can later be used against you. Despite being hired as a Managing Partner, I was demoted to Assistant Manager after training without any written warning or progressive discipline. HR and corporate leadership used minor incidents (like being left to close a store alone during training) as reasons to terminate/demote instead of supporting new hires. The “Managing Partner” title and salary are dangled but not maintained—they look for reasons to move people down so they don’t have to keep paying at that level. Extremely long hours and difficult commutes lead to burnout and health tolls. Lack of transparency, lack of real career growth unless you are in their inner circle.
