Pros

- Great Area - Great Coworkers - Stocked Kitchen - Company Events - Great Benefits (But don't let that fool you)

Cons

- Company has no vision for the future - Management uses employees for 1 and done projects - Small startup that is still trying to grasp its potential - Not enough projects to fill time - Pay is not great, compared to industry standard

Any involuntary staff changes are extremely difficult on both sides of the table, especially when there is no fault involved. We do our best to ensure that we treat anyone in that situation the same way we would be treated, as many of us have gone through the same process at one point in our career. We've learned a lot thanks to those involved, and I'm personally grateful for the feedback. (Note: sorry to write three similar paragraphs - we felt it applied in different cases). While agencies have sometimes a reputation for "rubber banding" or hiring and firing with client demand, we're proud to not do that, as our history shows. We were founded in part to specifically not to do that (all of the founders were devs and designers, no suits). We genuinely appreciate your feedback, I've taken all of it seriously.

Pros

We have weekly waffles at the office! We're a small group of mobile designers and developers that get along pretty well. I feel able to communicate openly with my team, which after working in corporate jobs, is refreshing. I feel like my coworkers all pull their weight and everyone is supportive of each other. Company culture is 10/10.

Cons

It's not a con, but we used to do "lunch and learns," we should bring those back!

Pros

-Great co-workers who are all friendly and helpful which is important in a company this size -Great work-space with a stocked kitchen, open office environment but also allow working from home when needed. -Plenty of opportunities to take initiative. -Many projects are not 100% defined at what needs to be done so input on how to get things done seems to be taken very well. -Plenty of new work incoming. -Various internal project going on that you are welcome to contribute to if you desire, things like a display made of ping pongs to an automated status board that informs everyone of the latest happenings in the office. -IoT focus so there are occasional bonuses along those lines to help all the employees be more involved with IoT at home as well as just at work, things like Echo Dots for the employees to take home and experiment with. -Always looking at improving communication between management and employees which means new tools are occasionally tried out. This is also a Con if you are not flexible to change. -No issues with talking directly to the CEO or anyone else in a management role.

Cons

-Some clients request our employees work at their office so you may occasionally be stuck working in a different environment than Tack's office. -Not the best workplace if you are the type that needs a to-do list given to you for what you should be doing. -Tools used to communicate between management and employees are occasionally changed while trying to find the best one for the company as a whole, this is both Pro and Con as it shows things are not just going to be stagnant in a poor working tool like some larger corporations are at.
