Pros

If there are any Pros I could think of it would be the comrodary from a few of the other officers at the location I worked at.

Cons

One main con that everyone should know about is if any passenger comes up to you and starts saying racist derogatory things and wishes harm to you and your family completely unprovoked. You are expected to stand there and not say anything back, no matter what they say to you. If you do say anything back to the passenger at all other than 'Thank you' or 'Have a great flight,' they will REMOVE you from Federal Service and put in your SF 50 the reason for the removal was to 'Promote Efficiency of the Service,' effectively ruining any chance of working for other Federal agencies. I know this because it happened to me. I also filed a complaint with the EEOC regarding my experience with TSA, but EEOC never got back to me or took any action to assist me. This lack of support from the EEOC further exacerbated the difficult situation I faced. Additionally, the union's lack of support and seeming indifference to employees facing such situations only compounds the difficulties and frustrations faced by employees.
