Pros

This place is one of those example companies one needs to experience in their lifetime to gain wisdom and discover that this is not how a business should operate and who NOT to be. Owner is super chummy during his interview with you and when offering a job, but turns around and treats you like his slaved peon soon after you're in. A job not for the long term, nor for the faint of heart. You gain experience and learn to be a better person in whatever career field..sales, marketing, IT. A stepping stone to something far better.

Cons

The owner promises sales people a monthly recurring revenue for contracts you bring in but within 3 months or less, he'll let you go, taking the business you bring in, so he doesn't have to pay the commission he initially promised.

Pros

TruTechnical gives you the tools, freedom, and time to grow your IT skills to the next level. You work with a diverse range of companies with differing technological needs. You will learn A LOT in a short period of time. Co-workers will take the time to help and genuinely want you to succeed.

Cons

More team projects, which became hard to do with Covid.

Pros

it is a place to learn and try new things on clients which you wouldn't be allowed to implement elsewhere.

Cons

Everything else. Don't work here... I was warned, but didn't listen.... now so are you, please listen! He tries to pay under federal minimum for travel because "that is how much he pays." Luckily he is now required to pay sick time, but its totally possible he will deduct sick time from PTO... Also if you need benefits, they are a joke! He promised a 401k and i had the paperwork in the first day. HR didn't know how to do it and he never paid anything in, in over a year. One more Lie from Tru Tech. Truman isn't technical, he doesn't understand terms, forgets what he said so always get everything in writing, he changes his mind constantly by what is cheapest not what is best practice, and blames employees for his mistakes. He will say that his employees "aren't the sharpest tool in the shed," which really makes you want to work hard. The workplace is homophobic and some of the emails/pictures other techs/Truman will send around are extremely offensive. "IT Management," is just the most senior person there not the most technical or skilled at management. Sales will sell things the technical staff can't provide/doesn't know how too do. Worst of all he LIES to customers and is quite dishonest; this practice shows in the declining client base. Having to lie to a client, for fear of loosing your job, makes for a BAD work environment.
