Pros

There are a few nice friendly coworkers.

Cons

- Lack of training, or a plan to bring new employees up to speed. - The MIS manager hordes knowledge and makes a big production of running simple travel query reports while working from home. the manager is the only one who takes these ad hoc requests. The reason for this is because the manager is the only one who knows where the data lives and how it is organized. There by, securing their position with minimal effort. - The company is not technologically progressive, and is not open to suggestions for improvements. For example, there are daily, weekly, and monthly travel reports that have to be ran every day. These are all done manually at present, by executing one saved SQL script after another. I politely inquired about making a small investment in a scheduler for SQL, which would allow them to automate all of those reports and free up dozens of resource hours per month. The upper management completely ignored the question, and my immediate manager gave a response that lacked substance several days later. - After reading reviews from people who were there both before and after me, I can agree that there is a high level of micromanagement, with a subtle but always present passive-aggressive kind of disdain when I made a mistake on a minor task. - There was a lack of clear instruction, insufficient training, and when I pointed out several examples of how written instructions were insufficient/incomplete for certain tasks, I was met with more of the passive-aggressive attitude from the manager. I was supposed to 'just get it', despite the fact that even the manager wasn't even fully versed on the tasks I was being assigned. - The office is not friendly toward gay and lesbian relationships. After a meeting regarding healthcare benefits, I witnessed the director of HR, in a hallway, openly discussing an employee that had asked if she and her partner were eligible for joint benefits as a couple. She joked that the person had an attitude when she was told that her partner was not eligible, and said 'that's just too bad.' This was the only part of the conversation I could make out as I had to keep walking so I wouldn't be caught listening, despite the fact that they were having this conversation in an open space, which in itself is unprofessional. -Very little opportunity for growth. - The company also doesn't compensate its' employees well according to the coworkers I spoke with. - While this last one isn't as as, there is a noticeable lack of diversity at their Woburn location.

Pros

There were a few really wonderful and qualified people who worked at Travizon. However, they are being overloaded with way too many clients and not enough access to standard operating necessities (like a computer that works and a version of Microsoft Office that's somewhat current).

Cons

The salaries are terrible and they expect you to work crazy hours and pretty much be on call 24/7. The benefits are an absolute joke as well. They don't even supply you with pens and basic office supplies. Not sure where they are spending all their money, but it's not on their employees or their technology. If all their clients knew the amount of nasty spam that gets through the companies email server and "spam" blocker they'd think twice before they let them house their data. Scary stuff! The management team is dysfunctional as well.
