Great experience to get your feet wet in the sports technology space. You learn a lot about the type of analysis MLB clubs are doing today and it helps prepare you for a role in a front office if you chose to go that path.
Cons
Not a lot of support or guidance. You're typically given one repetitive job and doesn't allow you to make contributions elsewhere. Also, there is a lot of empty promises from management about your future expectations.
