Pros

Decent location to work at.

Cons

Not the best place in terms of communication, people don't practice what they preach and there were once an employee placed shoes and socks into non sterile oven and nothing happened to the employee.

Pros

Alot of learning opportunities. With such a small team, there is flexibility in the responsibilities you can take on. Encouraged to contribute beyond your job scope. Good company culture that seeks to teach and grow it's employees. I found my 2 years there to be fun, educational, engaging, and confidence building. Work/life balance is really good and they offer good benefits. Great first job out of college and entry into the biotech industry. Management is very understanding and communicates issues well. Inspires you to grow and continue learning.

Cons

The work space can feel pretty small but they are getting a new facility soon. Isn't really a con if you enjoy working close to people in an open office.

Pros

TOKU-E Bellingham has some of the best people working for it. The manager in the Production department is absolutely incredible with a good understanding for when an employee needs extra guidance or when they can be allowed to work on an independent project without any additional help. She makes all of her employees feel like they are part of the team right away and makes sure you have everything you need to be successful as part of it. Because this is a relatively small company, employees are given the freedom to explore their interests. People are not expected to do just one thing day in and day out which makes for a more diverse day to day experience. Having all of that really makes you feel like you are an important part of a well oiled machine. The owner of the company treats her employees with respect, allowing them to come to her with any questions they may have about the work. The work-day is broken up into such a way that makes it manageable. No day is every like the last because the orders are so diverse, which results in employees learning a lot about the bio-tech industry very quickly. This is a great place to work.

Cons

The compensation for the work is lower than it would be in larger towns.
