      Pros

      TNO takes great care of its employees, nice colleagues, TNO pays great attention to personal development, although sometimes in a very rigid form.

      Cons

      The benefits not that great compared to some other industries. There are some quite unambitious people working here.

      Very innovative research organization, employees are treated well and interesting projects to work on.

      Cons

      In some departments it is common to use Dutch, making it difficult to integrate for non-Dutch speakers.

      Pros

      Deep subject-matter expertise, reasonably good benefits, good work-life balance including flexible hours, no mandatory 9 to 5 presence, good reputation in the Netherlands.

      Cons

      Somewhat old-fashioned (although this is changing), dependence on government subsidies, not as well-known abroad as, for e.g., Fraunhofer Institute.
