As you know, we work very hard to develop our people and to promote from within. Certainly, my experience is that the people who get on at Think Money Group are those who work hard and excel at what they do. For those that achieve this not only can they be given a lot of responsibility quickly, but their progress can also be very rapid. We are proud of our record of promoting from within and, in fact, 70% of our senior managers started their career with us in an entry-level role. There are countless examples of people who have progressed and built careers within the group. We’ll also promote the best person for the job – regardless of gender.
I’d also suggest that the unfortunate fact that your role was made redundant more than once, but each time we were able to find you another position in the Group is testament to our commitment to try to do right by our people.
A couple of years ago we committed to paying all our staff the Living Wage – currently £8.25 per hour (or just over £16,000 pa) – so I don’t recognise the figures that you quote. What I can say is that we benchmark our salary and benefits package on a quarterly basis and feel that for similar roles in Manchester and especially the Trafford Park area we are very competitive.
I’m sorry that your overall experience with Think Money Group was not a positive one but we wish you all the best in your future career.
