Pros

Going home on the weekends

Cons

They make you go through extensive orientation for 2 weeks just watching videos for 8-10 hrs a day it feels like a waste of time when you could be learning load securement instead. The training pay is $650 a week before taxes which comes down to around $530 after taxes this pay lasts a total of at least 6 weeks (2 for orientation 4 for training) assuming everything goes perfect. They do not have enough trainers so its not uncommon they make you wait at home unpaid until you get one. Based on my experience and other people I kept in contact with, trainers are not patient and will want you to understand load securement right away, If you’re not used to someone talking down to you for 4 weeks straight 24hrs a day this might not be the right place for you. According to the guy that trained me “the trainers get an extra $200 a week for any trainee’s they take” they make their money either way, you’ll find out quick they wont hesitate to drop you. The trainer I was with flat out told me he “Doesn't want to be a trainer Tmc just asked him.” These are the people in control of you getting a job or not. You’re going to be spending weeks away from your family, maybe putting off bills, coming here is going to be a big financial risk.
